When is somebody okay?

When are you okay? Are you okay right now? How do you deem being okay? Truly this is different in everybody's mind and different for their situation. When is somebody okay though? Is it when they are happy? When people are content? When people are alive? When is somebody "Okay"?

Words have such different meanings behind them depending on how they are used and how the user intended to use them.

  1. Too many questions!!
I understand what you mean. Author Bill Bryson points out that, along with the f-word, OK is the most ambiguous term in the English language. It can signify agreement (OK, sure), the need for approval (will you OK this?), lukewarm enthusiasm (the party was OK), checking for health status (are you OK?), and the state of Oklahoma.
