Today while talking to a friend I expressed that I had this very odd entity around me today that completely and utterly royally pissed me off for no apparent reason, though I got over this and think I found the root of the problem that is not the focus. This along with another of the IB dipcans being upset about something or having "snappy" feelings and remarks back to people today caused my friend to say, "It seems all the dipcans are pissed off today" Which I looked back and saw that 2/16 seems to be a small percentage to constitute "all" . I would like to pose the question: When is the point where a few turn into all?
In essence from who you are will completely change this because people use the term more loosely then others. This statement in total just threw me for a loop because I knew, well it seemed that most of the Dipcans today were in a fairly decent mood.
It seems to be a platitude for people who notice that two people who have two things in common, or perhaps three people who have one thing in common, at a particular time, to declare "Everyone's ______ today".
ReplyDeleteAll, by definition, is 100%. However, conversationally, I don't mind if people refer to a distinct supermajority (over 2/3) as "all" or "like, everybody".
And Jeff, you don't seem like the type to get irritable easily. I couldn't tell.
